PATRICK ROATH, DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR U.S. CONGRESS, CONTINUES STRONG MOMENTUM, BRINGING TOTAL CAMPAIGN RAISE TO $430,000 – ELEVEN MONTHS IN ADVANCE OF THE ELECTION

BOSTON, MA – Today, Patrick Roath, Democratic candidate for Congress in Massachusetts’ Eighth District, announced raising over $142,000 in Q3, his second quarter of fundraising, bringing his total raised throughout the lifetime of the campaign to $430,000, with eleven months still to go in the campaign. Patrick’s strong Q3 raise shows that voters in Boston and the South Shore are done with the status quo and are looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives to challenge out of touch voices in Washington. In less than five months, Roath has raised nearly half of what’s in his opponent Rep. Stephen Lynch’s 24-year war chest.

Roath, a first time candidate, again raised 100% of his campaign fundraising from individuals, with no money from any PAC of any kind included in his contributions.

Roath has now raised roughly 70% of what the 2020 primary challenger to Rep. Lynch raised over the course of the entire 2020 cycle.

Patrick Roath released the following statement in regard to his second quarter of fundraising:

“I believe that real change starts with real people. It’s clear that folks in Boston and the South Shore are done with the status quo. Right now, we need leaders who are ready to meet the moment, who understand what’s at stake, and who are ready to address the rising cost of living and housing in Boston and the South Shore. That is what this campaign is about. I’ve been amazed at the support I’ve received so far and am excited to continue putting in the work to get Boston and the South Shore the representation it deserves.”
